I grew up with a mother who was an art teacher and one of the top porcelain restorers in the world. She did many portraits throughout the years. I was drawing and painting before I could walk. My father, who was also a natural-born artist, was a top producer and director in the television industry. So, not only did I grow up around art, but I also grew up around television and film. In the seventies, I started out doing a national live television appearance. Throughout the years, I did a lot of other things. I’ve raised kids and worked with some of the most influential people in the industry, and so on. To honor my late father, I went back into the industry a couple of years ago, and I’m letting it take me wherever it takes me. One of the things I’ve done lately is work with Danny DeVito on ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’. I want to talk about that for a minute. Danny DeVito, being a prolific actor and having made it to the top, is someone I have ultimate respect for. Working with Jack Nicholson on ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’ is impressive in itself. When Danny DeVito entered the studio, I saw him out of the corner of my eye, and it brought back a flood of emotions revolving around my mother. I felt like Mr. DeVito would totally understand had we had a chance to talk personally. I love the inspiration that Danny DeVito shared with me, showing that anything is possible for anyone. I like Mr. DeVito’s passion for the arts, which I think we both share in different ways. It was a great honor getting to work hand in hand with Danny DeVito. I’d like to thank everyone on the crew for allowing me to add working with him to my repertoire. The best part of working on ‘It’s Always Sunny’ was when I told my daughter a few days later that I had worked on that show, and she told me that was one of her favorite shows. That was one of the highlights for me – participating in something that my daughter loves so much, ZaeArt.
